35012G is the model number. The 3 at the beginning says that it's a 3000 series tractor, and the fact that it's a number (3) instead of a letter (C) says that it was made between 1/65 and 3/68. All tractors made after that had a letter as the first character to designate the series. The 50 says that it's the industrial chassis variant within the 3000 series, better known as the 3500. The 1 says that it has a diesel engine. The 2 says that it has transmission driven 540 rpm PTO. The G at the end says that it has the manual reversing transmission with 4 forward and 4 reverse gears.
8A22B is the production code, which says that the tractor rolled off the assembly line on January 22, 1968, during the day shift.
C192761 is the serial number, and it is an early 1968 serial number, which agrees with the production code above. |
