just got my 1st sos 4cly 4000 trans works in all gears nice .But the pto cant shut it off runs all the time is there a fit for that getting a book this weekend thanks cdv |

| Like Dean says it is a normal situation, unless you can't stop it with your boot when warm. If you don't have one, get the shaft cover and keep it on when not using the PTO. The shaft seal will stay cleaner and last a lot longer. |

| | There is no PTO brake on the S-O-S transmission and oil friction will cause the PTO shaft to run on, especially when cold. If you cannot stop it with your boot when warm, the PTO control valve cable is most likely out of adjustment. The only proper fix is to disassemble the transmission and properly set the bearing preload. Dean |
