I just replaced the gasket and o-ring brtween the trans and differential. It wes apart for several weeks. Cant get the hydro pump to prime. I used 80 weight oil in hydro sump cause someone in this form said it may be OK for an old tractor. Any tricks to prime the pump? I removed the plug and pored oil in no help. Thanks JIM...

| | the 80w oil may be the reason it won't prime. it needs utf.
in any case, use a rubber tipped blowgun and apply pressure to the dipstick hole with engine running.. that should get some oil picked up.
