For some time now the hydrolic lift on my Ford NAA tractor does not lift the equipment high enough. I noticed that both lift arms are keywayed. The lift shaft will have to be pulled out of the lift arm housing, repositioned, and slid back into the lift housing. Is this possible to do? |

| Ive seen bent lift arms but I betting on a worn cam follower pin.Never get stuck on one idea when trouble shooting, you could be wrong.Lucky you got the arms off wth out busting the lift cover. It pays to ask questions before starting a job ,not after. Most of the fellows would have said worn cam follower pin. |

| | You cannot re-index the lift arms without machining. You can flip the lift arm end for end so that the lifting force is against the unworn side of the shaft. Dean |

| my bet is his lift height problem is under the cover though.. and not the heavy shaft... if his lift rockshaft bearing diameters is worn that badly, surely he'd notice it... i'd hope anyway... |

| i dind't think you did either.. just making sure the OP knows that, as he has asked this question twice now, and thinks the source of his lift height problem is an improperly installed rockshaft. |

| | ditto again on what awhtx said. DO get a manual or a video before pullingthe lift cover off as you can damage the backpressure valve if you snatcht he cover off without backing it off under the acorn nut. soundguy |

| Do you see the extra wide gap between the splines in the rockshaft? The center dogbone rocker arm and the outer lift arms all have a matching extra wide spline machined inside them. There is one and only one way you can put this assembly together. If your lift doesn't raise all the way up your cam follower pin is most likely worn. You will need to remove the lift cover and rebuild it. You can buy a video on Fleabay that shows the lift cover rebuild in detail. |
