I have a late 80's 3910 tractor with 13.6x28 tires on 12x28 rims. I also have two OEM service manuals (1983 and 1988) that show this tractor having a optional rear tire size of 14.9x28 on 13" rims. So my question is why does no one make this 13" rim? I have called NH and searched the web but have had no luck. I have seen single loop rims but no double looped. Please see attached pics. I know i can just put the 14.9's on the 12" rims but would really like to have the correct OEM size. Either the manual's are misprints or they just stopped making this size rim at one time or another. Anyone know where to find these or what happened to the 13x28 rim?

Thanks,

I dont think that they ever actually used a 13x28 rim. My dad bought a 3610 new in 1981 and my grandpa bought a 3910 new in 1985 and both tractors has 14.9-28 tires when new on 12x28 rims. Our 1993 4630 had 14.9-28s on 12x28 double loop rims.

This is what i was wondering. I have looked at alot of used rims and new on net. Plus also spending time at two dealers and no one has ever heard of or seen this size in a double looped rim. This being 4 groups of 2 loops. Based on this i was assuming they just used the smaller 12" wide rim. However when i read the manuals i wAs suprised.

And your sure you measured them correctly right?

I am sure. They also had the size stamped on the inside of the rims when I replaced the tires.

Tony, you check the pricing on those paired loop rims and you won't be torching them, you'll be looking for a buyer.

Hello RickB , Should I even ask what they are bringing ? I didn't know they were worth that much more than a standard rim . Thanks Tony

Most of the 8 loop paired rims list for $400-$650 from New Holland. I have a 15x24 8 loop rim shipping out tomorrow that lists for $620. 12x24 is over $300.

Can you take one of these and drill out the spotwelds on 4 of the loops and move them over next to the other 4 loops?
