My 800 series ford sucks the gasoline It is using about 3 gal per hr no matter if your bushogging or riding around any suggestions thanks very much |

| My 960 uses only about half that much working a bushhog in tall grass. Agree with other commentators here that something needs attention on your 860. |

They aren't real good on fuel. But, that seems excessive. Could be the float is soggy and letting too much fuel flow, could be the air cleaner, could be a leak at that miserable fuel leaking shut off under the tank, could be a cracked fuel line, could be carb settings, could be some other stuff. How does it run? Does it smell like it's running rich? Raw gas smell? |

| Sounds like you have a leak in your fuel system or a main jet set way way to rich or a clogged up air cleaner. When was the last time you dumped the dirt and water out of the air cleaner and fill it with new oil. I know my 841 works a very long time on just a gallon of gas |

| | fuel usage should be tied to load. at lower load.. less fuel. you sure it isn't simply leaking out?
my 950 uses nowhere near that mowing... |
