I have a Ford 4230 tractor and when I started it this morning the battery light came on and stayed on. I thought I could smell hot or burning wires? Maybe my imagination. Anyway. I shut it off and am now afraid to start it for fear of damaging something. Does anyone know what the battery light on means? I can"t find anything in the manual.

| possible short or the alternator, check for naked
wire hope it's nothing to bad
