Have a 1983 TW25 that the fan motor quit. Before it went out there was a strong electrical smell in the cab like a motor getting hot. Since it has never been replaced, I put in a new one. It lasted about 45 min. The same smell was present when this new motor went out also. Neither motor blew the fuse. Motor and fans turn freely. Are the capacitors bad? Any other thoughts? Thanks!! |

| Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see
Check switch to see if bad,, and also the cab power relay which it located under the tachometer next to the turn signal relay. |

| Just a WAG - I"m wondering if there"s a ballast resistor in the circuit that is shorted out?? Check the motor carefully to see if it is a 12v or possibly a 6 volt (for use with a ballast resistor). |
