Picked up a couple things I got on an online auction yesterday - these teeth were in a pile with the pre-'65 rowcrop drawbar I bid on. 13 of them, 3 broken and 10 like this. Any idea what they fit? No hay equipment listed on the sale, so no help that way. Look too short for reel or pickup teeth, but can't think of anything else they'd be. Don't appear to be broken - all straight across the ends and consistant lenght.
Got the drawbar, now I need the RC to hang it from! They had a 971-5 with a 1-arm loader there - it sold for $2420 with the buyer's fee.

The prior owner had 10 of them because he was at an auction in they were in a pile with something else he wanted!

Auction story, we were down visiting my Dad's Uncle, went out in his barn and saw a work bench that was about 12' long, 30" wide and about 18" thick, all oak. It had a vice on one end that was all wood, looked like the screw in the vice was hand carved. The question was asked "Uncle Mike what's that?", he replies "A tombstone maker's bench" After a few moments silence the question was asked "How did it come to be in your barn?" He replies "I was at an auction and the auctioneer was a friend of mine, a gave him a $.75 opening bid and got stuck with the darn thing"

Ya know, that just might be!

Was going to add, Luke and I saw a field of green beans being harvested on the way, near Barron. 4 harvesters and two tractors with dump wagons. Closer to the sale site, we met a caravan of 9 harvesters, a tractor and dump wagon and a self-propelled dump wagon. (maybe made from a combine?) Wish I'd had a camera with me. Probably $3-4 million going down the road...

NH baler hay plunger dog springs? They look a little heavy and short though.

Could be hay dog springs, but would have to be from an old two digit model. Not from a 200, 300 or 500 series. The center loop extends beyond the coils on all those, one shape or another.

I looked at my old Super 77, and they are even longer than the 200-300-500 springs. The mystery continues I guess.

Yeah - looked at my 565 today, and these aren't even close to the right size/shape, and they are thicker too. So I still don't know what they're for. May end up in the scrap if no one can use them or knows what they are.

That is what I thought they looked like too, hay dog springs. And to agree with other post, probably in a lot somewhere that came with something that the buyer wanted.

Hadn't thought of that. I'll have to compare them to the ones on my 565. But why would he have 10 of them??

Sometimes I wish I had 10. Seems like every time I replace one on my 310, another one breaks.
