5000 clutch bolts

Got some time in on this tractor last night, but didn't get much done, as I was hunting through a bucket of bolts and small parts for the bolts I needed. Got sick of that and decided to just use new, but didn't have any short enough on hand. Anybody know how long the bolts are that hold the pressure plate to the flywheel? 3/8" x ?? coarse thread... grade 5? Sure is a lot easier when you take it apart yourself!

I had planned on rebuilding the original 256 diesel and parting out the 233 that came as part of the deal. Still plan on rebuilding the 256, but that won't happen for a while. I bought a 256 gasser from Ultradog's friend Ken, so that is going to go in it to get it back to work. Got a set of fenders for it from Ultra, too. With the replacement engine, about all it needs is a clutch disk, spindle bushings and bearings, and reassembly. Picked up the parts last week, so now I just need to get to it.

Ever think that we are some of the true environmentalists because we rebuild things instead of buying new stuff?
It will be neat to see it run again and not wind up as razorblades.

Hmmm,
It seems I've seen that trailer of rusty parts somewhere before?
Oh yeah, I remember now it was on the freeway and they had about 40 cops and the SWAT team swarming around it with guns drawn and a lot of police dogs barking savagely. It looked like they had the driver of truck spread eagle on the pavement and they were hand cuffing him.
I just figured they had finally caught a major scrap thief and was hoping they would haul him off to jail and an ignominious end.

Was there a passenger? I guess I didn't see that.
I was watching to see if the dogs were going to bite the perpetrator but they held them back.

I don't know if it really is that much easier when you take it apart yourself LOL! I am nearing completion of a complete overhaul of one of my 901s and I have been really frustrated with how many fasteners I have had to buy and how many I will have left over despite having put them in bags of various assemblies as I was taking it apart.

Thought I'd maybe get the engine bolted in place tonight... Nope. Spacers that go between the pressure plate and flywheel are AWOL. Have to call my NH dealer tomorrow.
