851 dash and nose cone color

What color should the lower dash and nose cone be on my 1958 851? It appears that they were light gray on this tractor. I always thought the nose cone's were orange/red. Not sure about the lower dash.

orange/red just like the grill.

They should both be gray. If you haven't got all the paint off the inside of the lower dash yet. clean a good sized patch with red rubbing compound. Then you can take it and get the shade of gray digitally analyzed so that you get the right shade.

Mine is an 861, not a 851. Don't believe the color scheme changed between the two of them. My nose cone is red/orange and the lower dash is light gray. I've been told by a few of the more tractor savvy guys on here that the colors are correct.

Thanks for the input guy's. My lower dash was gray under the orange repaint. But the gray nose cone shows no sign of ever being painted orange, even on the backside. I will be painting the nose cone orange.

Sorry about that, I guess I was thinking of my 960 nose cone, I have a 960 and two 901s
