851 FORD brake rod adjustment.. height

my right side brake are working great they stop. not left side.. Questionable ? how high brake peal going be off running board. i got it about 6 inch off running board and it stop about half way down . why i need know.. the brake petal rod broke so i make a new one. and yes i did cold 3/8 rod and 3/8 24 die

You may need to adjust at the shoes.

The brakes on that tractor have a star adjustment like on many cars and trucks so you may need to make that type of adjustment before doing any thing with the rod since if the brakes are not as they need to be in the drums you can adjust the rods all day long and get no place

once you get the brakes adjustd.. then get the pedals adjusted tot he same height so they are easier to use..
