ford 5000 fender

does anyone know where i can find a left side fender for my 72 ford 5000 new or used? i havent been able to find one in a scrapyard and all the new ones are either flat top fenders or for n series or hundred series?

There's a thread about 4/5000 fenders on page two. Unless Messick's site is out of date, they are available new from NH... for around $440. Other thread has part number.

I noticed there is a pair of them on Ebay today.
Look at the sellers other items for the other one.
It looks like he doesn't want to ship them though.
I do have one here that I might sell.
I don't remember which side it is though.

I've bought parts from him a time or two. No problems. They are not 'too large to ship' though. The ones I put on that 5100 SOS I had I bought on ebay and had shipped. Shipping isn't cheap, but certainly is possible. IIRC, I had about $250 in the pair, purchase price + shipping + repairs. These are nicer than what I started with. Drop him an email saying you'll pay X amount for the fenders + shipping. That's how I got mine.

Sixbales ive been on the boneyard site and called several yards and they seem to be sold out of decent fenders even mid south salvage which had at least ten 5000s advertised did not have one when i called
Ultradog. looking at my 5000 i cant see any difference between the left or the right fender except maybe the holes where the tail lite is mounted if you have one without any rot i might be interested in it if you can ship to ct? I was also toying with the idea of putting flat top fenders on it and was wondering if there would be a problem with the fit

Light and toolbox mounting holes are the only differences I could see, too. As long as you get mounts for the flat tops with the right hole spacing for a 5000's axle, they will fit fine. 5/7000 rowcrops have flat tops, but if you go to the newer style used on x600 models, they are adjustable for height. (the A&I repops are this style)

yes i have a set that will need a little work i want flat top finders i will sale these for 375 you pick up or pay for shipping
