1964 Ford 4000 hyd lift stuck in up position

Was using my box blade on my 1964 ford 4000. Everything was working fine. I quit for a while. Went back to work about 30 minutes later. Had used the lift a few times, then suddenly, after I raised the blade again, the lift is now stuck in up position. Have tried everything I know, but nothing is working to get it to go down. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

could be a sticky unloader valve.

if you need to get it down, you can pull the plug on the 3x5 option cover on the lift cover and oil will shoot out and it will drop.

might lift the lift and work the handle up and down a bit and see if the unloader frees up.

Thanks for the assist. I will try your suggestion - it"s nighttime where I am so will try it out tomorrow.

To Soundguy: Thanks again for what to try on the stuck lift. It worked. I also moved the lever up and down as you stated. It seems to be working smoothly again. I was wondering if there is any type of hyd. oil additive that I could add to help it?

nope.. it's already 'oil'.. might need to be clean oil though if the sump is dirty or emulsified..
