Two questions. Has anyone pulled a 3 bottom 14 with a 1970 Ford 2000?

also it has a ropes which gets in the way of the level arm. the handle won't clear the rops when i am trying to adjust the 3pt. any suggestions?

a 3000 will be about 32 h.p. (at the pto) - about the same as a Jubilee. Not really enough for a 3-bottom, except maybe in very sandy soil. A 2x14 would be a good match for it. (check that 3-bottom...many can be reduced to 2-bottom)

It might in very light soil. Doubtful though.
Did the spring plowing for all my relitives this weekend. Used the 3600 - same size and weight as your 2000 but a couple more ponies. Breaking some new ground with 2-16s in our claey, rocky loam was as much as it would handle. More ballast on the rears would have helped - only had 225 lbs/wheel.
If you are looking at that plow to buy remember that it's pretty easy to drop the 3rd bottom and make it 2 bottom.
