What are you all using? I been using Rotella 10W30. Parts guy suggested 15W40 for any diesel. What do you all put in your Ford diesel engines. By the way, I use the 5w40 Rotella synthetic in my 2006 Dodge CTD.

I use 15w40 C rated oil in all my diesels.

have started using it on my gassers too. some of them anyway..

Been using 15w40 for years in all my tractors and combine. Dealer I'd been buying from closed a little over a year ago, so started looking around, found out I can get bulk 15w40 Rotella locally.

All my engines except for my 2009 pickup and some small engines get 15w40 Conoco. By the drum its a shade over 6.00 a gallon. The pickup gets 5w20 synthetic because thats what Ford says put in it and its under warranty.

For the diesels which include1 Ford 256 n.a., 2 Ford 256 Ts, 3 Ford 268's T, a 3.9 n.a. and 5.9 T Cummins, and a 219 T JD get a quart of Lucas added at each change also. So far the only rebuild on any of them was cavatation pitting on one of the Ford 268 T's.

I've been using Rotella 15W40 in my Ford 3000.
But I'm not that picky about it, as long as it's a good name brand, or at least has that CJ (or whatever it is) rating.

I posted awhile back about having always used 30wt in all my farm engines, but everybody mentioned that 15w40 would be the best to use in my diesel tractors. I bought a few gallons of oil that is made by a Canadian company and is supposed to be as good as Rotella.

Usually any HDEO API CI or CJ-4 15w40 is a great fit for a tractor diesel engine, pick a good known brand and go with it.

I use generic 15w40 diesel rated oil from Fleet Farm. Since it takes a jug and a half to change oil I always pour the extra 2 quarts into a Shell Rotella jug and set it on the shelf. No sense letting your friends know you're a cheapskate if you don't have to.

If you have the urge to spend some big bucks on the
best product, find an Amsoil dealer and try Amsoil.
I switched everything I own to Amsoil and became a
dealer so I could purchase wholesale. I think it is
worth a few extra dollars to protect my expensive
lubricated parts. Just a thought.
