Hi everyone,

I've got a new to me 3000 in great running condition. My only problem is that the cluster was destroyed and not wired up.

I bought a new replacement cluster (correct for pre-75. I need to know how to wire it up. I see 10 wires in the harness (all appear original) and 10 terminals on the new cluster (old cluster also had 10)

Does anyone know which wire goes to which terminal?

Thanks for the help!

Wires should be color coded, eg. :

Power = white : Ground = black
Temp Sender = Green-Blue : Fuel Sender = Green-Black
Oil Pressure = White-Brown

Look at the color of the wire going to each sensor and then match that color to the appropriate pin on the cluster. In addition there should be one or two bulbs for cluster illumination.

Ok so what wires go to the voltage stabilizer, and which side of the stabilizer do i hook them to???

I don't have a service manual yet. It's on the way in the mail but mail service here is very very slow and I wont have it for another 2 weeks at least.

Ive got a black wire coming out of the harness, a green wire, a white wire the 4 bulbs (2 instrument, 1 oil, 1 voltage) there were two loose wires inside the compartment which I assume hook from the stabilizer to the gauges. The fuel sender has two wires I assume the center wire to be power and the outer wire to be ground.

I may have missed a wire or two off the top of my head.

On the cluster do I hook the sender to the + terminal or the T terminal? they're labeled as such so I assume T to be the stabilizer/transformer??

The old cluster had a 2-1 splitter on the central ground terminal. Do i hook the fuel sender ground and main ground to that?

Thanks for the help!!! Now that I know the colors I'm farther along than I was for sure!
