I posted a message several times on here and recieved great responses. Thanks. My question is does any one know of anyone in the Mississippi area that works on SOS transmissions. I most likely have a reture spring or holder broken and havent had the time this winter to fix it. I need to take it to someone and have them fix it for me.

Does that stand for First Sergeant?

Anyway, I have the NH service manual right here for my 5000, and it includes information on the 2000 Dextra.

I believe you would be able to do it easily enough. I took the control valve out on my 5000 with a description here:

The difference looks like you would take your top cover off instead of me having to take the bottom off to get at the spring.

Can you post a picture of what your transmission top looks like? Along with your SoS selector and cable? If so, I could likely mark up the picture with what you had to do. If your spring is all that is broken, it should be easy enough to do yourself.

Yea that stands for First Sergeant but have since been promoted to CSM. I am in the process of tuning her up this weekend and as soon as I get finished I will post pics. Thanks in advance.
