I have a 860 with loaded rear tires. I know the base weight is around 3200lb and I was wondering how much having loaded tires would add? I'm going to be bring it from MI to eastern ND probably on a u-haul car hauler since I have to rent a truck already. I am hoping the weight is low enough so I won't have to make special plans to transport it.

Thanks
Ben

Ben,

I've seen the info in my owners manual, but don't recall exactly. Of course, it depends on what you are running for tires as well. Seems to me a loaded 13.6 x 28 could carry about 500# of CaCl. A 14.9 would obviously carry more. Thus, you should likely allow about an extra 1000# for the loaded tires.

I'm pretty sure its got 13.6's on it but I'm not positive. That's not bad then. The u-haul trailer should be able to handle that since a large sedan weights roughly that much.

Thanks

Ben,

Total weight of a CaCl [color=red:73c4065f69][i:73c4065f69]solution[/i:73c4065f69][/color:73c4065f69] loaded 13.6 x 28 is listed as 525#. I just wanted to clarify for accuracy sake, that includes approximately 197# of CaCl and 39 gallons of H2O, plus the weight of the rim/tire.

But U-haul won't allow you to use their trailers for moving farm equipment. Then again, what they don't know ...
