860 fuel line

i've been putting together a 860 i bought in pieces. about have it done. does anyone have a picture or drawing of how the fuel line is routed? thanks.

MJ:

The original fuel line is a multiple-piece assembly with with a straight steel line on the lower part connected to a short neoprene line at the top. Inverted flare connections are on both ends. It is routed behind the intake/exhaust manifold. The line is still available from CNH. It is pictured in the Ford shop manual.

actually for the 860 it would have been a steel line all the way from the shutoff assy to the sediment bowl. A piece of 1/4" brake line and a little time bending is still alot cheaper than the new one from CNH. By the time I'm done I usually figure about $20 invested vs. 50 something.

does the line run through the manifold, or around the front of manifold or rear of manifold. through the manifold would be simpler, but i am wondering about the heat. thanks for the help. mike

right down mainstreet through the manifold, heat at the line isn't a problem, but if heat shield under tank is missing then you have a problem.

This is the most common one I have see,,, came off 600,,, made one like it for my 850.... comes down thru the manifold...
