Ok, I posted this earlier about my new loader:

By the way the paint is Rustoleum Safety Red and Gloss Black. Both purchased by the gallon and brushed or rolled on.

Thanks soundguy, I like the way it turned out also. Makes me think I should have painted that box blade sooner also. It was solid rust before.

This is the guy you bought the loader from in Ky.
The Loader Looks GREAT!
I never imagined the loader would ever look this good.
You must be a pretty good Machinist, Welder, Fabricator.
A lot of guys have these loaders but no brackets.
I love what you did with the bucket, I am going to have to do this to the other one arm I have for my 801. I also love the Red and Blue.
It was great to meet you and glad it all worked out.

thanks Rick, you are too kind. I have friends that help with the machinest stuff. I give them the measurements and they give the plates back to me ready to weld. So, it is easy to look good with help from friends. I used diamondplate for the sides on the bucket and re-inforced the rusted out spots on the inside with 1/4 plate so, it is not very pretty but should function just fine. I was going to remake it until I priced out the materials. Patching will do just fine right now. I also use the same paint on the trailer I brought with me to haul the loader on and I really like the rustoleum gallon paint. It works well and is easy to apply.

By the way, I do not know if I ever apologized for the ruts in your yard. I told the wife that you had it ready to load and get me back on my way before weather hit and my thanks was to leave big ruts in the yard as I pulled out. I felt kind of bad for that and hope your wife was not too upset. Sorry

As far as the loader goes, I have not really used it for anything major yet. As you can see I live in town and trailer the tractor to the land (I will not leave it there for fear of someone stealing it). I will be using it this Spring for cleaning up some of the roads and maybe digging out a little pond in sandy soil. It should do fine for that. I have been using a friends skidloader and the last time I used it I had to replace two hydraulic hoses to get it home. I would rather break my own stuff. And, I really like the looks of these things anyway. I might put it in our Christmas parade next year to pull my trailer and have my Cubscouts on it but, I havent decided on that yet.

I am glad the One Arm turned out so good. I am glad someone restored it. It is a piece of history that you dont see very often. When I was a kid I can remember one farmer having one and I remember how neat it looked on the tractor. I looked for a long time for one and found the one you now have, but my luck it wasn't for an 801. I finally found another to fit my 801. The loader looks great, My son said "is that the loader we sold?" . He couldn't believe it looks that good. He had me print the photo of it to show his friends at school. I love old iron and love seeing it restored. Thanks, Rick

if ya ever run into mismatched tractors and loaders again.. it's not too difficult a task to make a large box unit fit a 3 cyl, or a small box unit fit a 4 cyl.. in fact.. that's the easiest.. making a small box fit a 4 cyl.. though having hte matched unit is really the best.
