One Arm Brackets: Dimensions?

Hi all, I recently picked up my brand new to me One Arm and I am getting my goodies together to build brackets with help from a friend who is a machinest. So here goes...

I have a 1972 Ford 3000 and I have the correct loader for that tractor according to the previous owner but no brackets. No problem says my machinest friend, we can build them. So we will get started. I would like to have a general dimension that is a correct starting point.

I would like to know the measurement from the top aft bolt of the hip bracket to the "nub" the loader sits in. I would like to know its measurement from the center of the bolt hole to the center of the nub measuring in a strait line aft and then from that point, measure strait up from the bolt line center to the center of the nub. This will give me two sides of the triangle and a good starting point. The other brackets can be fabbed where ever the loader falls in.

I got a set of 3 cyl brackets in the barn. if you don't get any answers by the time I get off my double today I'll give ua the 2 sides and you can figure the rest.

Thanks Soundguy!

I just need a starting point. They will not look anything like the original but should work just fine.

Ok.. just for you.. I went out to the barn at midnight and dug out my 3 cyl hip bracket :)

keep in mind that this bracket is an offset bracket and does not line up straight up and down like the 4 cyl brackets.

from the aft hole, ( nearest rear of tractor ) to the nub, center to center is 4.5"

from aft hole center , straight up level with nub center is 4"

I've included a pic of the bracket.. will upload a couple views, plus a view of a 4 cyl bracket.

Soundguy,

My 3cyl bracket that fits my 2000 does not look anything like that bracket. Her is a pic I snagged from ultradog that shows what mine looks like.

Note that it has a curve and also, has an indent in the back to allow the hydraulic pump to be able to be removed. Perhaps you have a bracket for the 4000 model that has the pump located in a different place? That nub on the back would hit the pump, I think.

I can try to get some measurements but my loader is installed so that makes it a bit difficult.

Here is a side pic -
