1980 Ford 1500 parts 4x4 front shaft

I am looking for the "shaft" for a 79/80 Ford 1500 4x4. The old part #SBA326310171 is not available. A kit to replace the entire front axle is available for big $ SBA326040020. Can anyone help me find the part needed? Thank You.

I dont know which shaft you are needing but here goes:

I had a Toyota 4x4 years ago that needed the front drive shaft and it was expensive. 800.00 expensive in the early 90's. At the advice of a friend, I went to a local drive shaft company in Dallas to see if they had parts at a discount or used parts. What they recommended was to let them build me a complete new one using Dana Spicer parts and the total cost was about 225.00 and this thing was much stronger than the stock one it replaced. Very reasonable and very well made product. You might try that if you are having trouble getting a certain shaft. good luck

Thanks Fordfarmer, I may need to get the broken part remanufactured because the kit to fix is over $4,000 just for the parts and probably another $2,000+ for labor. The part to fix for the 1981 is only $465. The broken part is the piece that the front wheel rim bolts to and it broke at the neck of the shaft. New Holland wants to replace the entire front axle 4x4 parts and it would be required to do both sides. Thanks for the good luck, I really need it! Peg
