New Guy with Remote Hyd Question

Hey everyone,

I am the proud owner of a Ford 3000 Diesel with questions about remote hydraulics:
I have the remote plate already installed under the seat but it does not have valves like I have seen by researching, it has a 3-position pull lever allowing for remote or 3-point or both. It looks like a large choke lever.
Where do I tap off of this plate for pressure? There are two areas I see that could do it, a plug on top and a plug in the back. I could get the fittings and experiment but I was hoping someone could save me the R&D time. I am going to run a log-splitter with it so not having a lever on the tractor is fine with me. I prefer the one on the splitter.

thanks in advance for your replies.

Auxiliary service control

There should be a port on the top left side, a little back from the pull knob.. this would be the pressure line.

My manual for the 2000,2110,3000,4000,4110 show full in as 3pt lift, full out as remote cyl, and half out as remote cyl and 3pt.

think of it as a selector or diverter valve..

Yes, that is my valve exactly. The reason I asked is because the "Expert" at the local New Holland dealer told me to uncap the plug at the back of the manifold assembly for pressure. I thought all along that the plug Soundguy mentioned was the correct one and now you all have confirmed it for me.

The Expert also said to tap the filler plug for return hydraulics. I was going to buy a cast iron heavy plug and do so. Is this how yours are plumbed?

My valve has a return designed into it, but your selector valve does not, so you'll have to create one as you've described.

Did you know there are several valves available for your tractor?

Yes, that would be a good return for the hyds.

Did you know there are several valves available & fit your tractor w/ built-in returns?
