To find a picture of one like yours with non-turf tires, go to equipmenttraderonline.com/adsearch.html Then, in the 'Keyword' window type: Ford gas 231 This is the same tractor as yours but with smaller engine.

I just discovered how complicated it is for me to find the picture I mentioned of a tractor like yours. In the Address window, type equipmenttrader.com/adsearch.html Then, in the Keyword window, type: Ford gas 231

13.6-24 ag tires on the back and 6.50-16 tires up front should look fairly level. To me, anything bigger than that starts looking disproportionate unless you change to the higher (ag) front axle ends and spindles. Does yours have the brakes at the outer ends of the rear axles?

yes mine does have the brakes on the outer ends of the rear axle. so you are saying that if i put tires and rims from a later model tractor say a 3600 or a 4500 it will not be level without changing the front axle? thanks brian

I finally spotted a picture for you. 24" lug tires on the rear and large 16" tires on the front. equipmenttraderonline.com is now listing a Ford 231 (same as 531 but with smaller engine). Sorry it took so long to find one.

Some Fords and M-F's have 24" rims that will bolt on. Yes, 28" tires will have you going downhill. Some people compensate by putting tall tires on the front from a 6600 or so. These rub the radius rods when turning and they look strange. Turning the dish out to clear the radius rods looks even stranger and overloads steering and axle components causing wear and breakage. I believe 4500 rear rims have larger bolt pattern so not a bolt-on.
