This doesn't work too bad at all. Mechanized farming is great!

i knew they were called "potato plows" but really never knew how they were used. thanks.

years ago i sold a to-20 with one of those knodeler (sp) seats on it. wish i would have kept that seat.

I use the potato plow each year. I plant 50 lbs. seed potatoes each year.
If you would add at least one stablizer bar the plow would do much better. I use a 1958 801 Ford.

That's how I harvest my taters. Beats a pitchfork anyday. Also use it when planting taters. Do you really need the chains?

I put the chains on for pushing snow, left them on for pushing trees. Should be snow again in 2-3 months.... and they're kind of a pain to keep taking off/putting on again at least to me.

But no I don't need them for this. It doesn't even remotely start to tax this tractor to pull the little potato plow through my sandy soil.

might try adding these bars to your plow blade,

it appears they would help lift the potato out better.

like you, I just have the reg blade on my digger,
