I have a TO-30 that is overcharging. At idle will show 2 amps, at mid throttle,15 amps and full throttle,30 amps. Have removed the VR and cleaned contacts. Still the same. Can I adjust the tension of the Cutouts or is a new VR in my future? Thanks, Jim.

Well. . . You might want to purchase two of the new ones. They might get 59 weeks between both of them. Actually the new products are a hit and miss. Another reason people convert to 12V.
Then again , you might get a hit and last for a long time to come.

New VR seems to be in order. Or you can play with the broken one you have and then get a new VR.
I think you already did step #2. . .
