Hey guy's i have a chance to buy a ferguson to30. the sheetmetal is in very good cond.the motor sounds great.the tires are in fair cond. not the best. has a woods belly mower attached to it. i was wondering about the rear spin out wheels it has. are these wheels a bonus or ? i'am not to familar with these. the asking price is 2.500 is this a decent price ? not sure of the year. thanks
 
spin out wheels usually arte found on the "35. The outer rims are replaceable. Everything else is not. 2500 for that machine. . .
Well, on one hand I am about to sell off an 8N with new fresh paint and a 4 foot hog for about the same price with no spin outs. The "30 has more grunt power so from a retail price range I would have to say "yes". However on the wholesale range I would tend to shop around for a better price on a $1,000 tractor and a $500 brush hog. The rims might fetch another $400
The question arises "Do you need spin outs?"
I am currently sitting on several cheap machines and with some elbow grease and a few bucks you can get them working again cheap enough.
For $2500, it would need nothing and last for at least 5 years short of fluid changes. No leaky brakes, loose steering, or any other nasty little problems. And look good enough the wife wouldn"t mind it parked in front of the house.
Unlike the junkyard refugee that has taken residence in the weeds outside my front window. . .
Glad the weeds are tall this time of year.
 
Tell us more. If it is a 35 rather than 30, it is well worth the price. The power adjust wheels and centers are worth several hundred to some people, but are not original to 30's. But in general, the price is OK if the tractor is OK.
I have a 30 with a loader, it will need rear tires someday, and I tell people I am asking 3000, and have 2 guys nibbling, without even advertising yet. Post some pictures if you can.
 
Can you show pictures of the belly mower and the hookup along with the pto drive. I would love to build this.
