had a couple of my gear heads look at the old tractor today.
they, like me could not tell where the noise is coming from. we all agree is sounds loudest low around the front of the motor.
defiantly does not sound like a loose tappet, but more like a loose rod bearing or something in the timing gears????
guess i am going to have to take it to one of the local tractor fixit guys.
like to do my own work but do not know where to start.
guess on a 1957 TO-35 you can not take the oil pan off by itself to check the rod bearings?
thanks for any help or advice.
