They need to be the correct dimensions or you are changing the length of the Chains. These chains are not anti-way chains, they are called Check Chains and they prevent the arms swinging into the wheels. Anti-sway or Stabiliser chains as they are really called prevent the implement from swinging when in work.Check chains only work when the implement is lifted fully or the 3 point arms are lowered fully. You need 7 x 5/16" chain links plus 2 5/16" "D" links, the whole chain should be 10-1/2" long when assembled with the "D" links from centre to centre of the Pin holes in the "D" links. If the Chain is too short the 3 point can't lift high enough and the safety valve will keep blowing and if it is too long the implement will swing into the wheels. On the lower Link Arms where you have 2 holes...you attach the Chains and the Lift Rods to the hole that is in the Centre of the Lower Link arm..John(UK) fergusontractors@hotmail.com [Reply]   [No Email]
