Looking for Trac..

Mike i'll try to post something this weekend i'm not
good at computer stuff just give me a wrench and
something that needs fixing and i'm happy.

Hey Trac, that is great..yea im getting into the planning phase of putting a front blade on the 50 just because i really hate moving snow with a rear blade. when ever you get a chance any pics would be a big help, and i like your idea about using a winch instead of hydro..talk to you later....Mike P

If it was me I would be looking at a small 2 or 3K winch with a snatch block. That would effectively cut the weight of the load in half which would give you a longer winch life.
(The snatch block doubles the load capacity of the winch. Why go as small as possible when a bit larger will be much happier carrying a light load than a small winch straining at the upper end of it"s load capacity? Also you can use the winch on another project should the need arise.)

so would say a single loop pulley snatch block do, it or should i go with a double pulley in combo with a single pulley block. im thinking the blade will weight around 300 lbs...

Sorry Mike i got in the sauce a little early today it's real hot (lol) as soon as i can but i don't have a winch i just said that was a option you can take, just make sure your bumper is well built.

sure is a good day for for some chilly ones, I kinda like the electric winch idea but am open to putting a single hydraulic renote valve next to the seat like this one that Steiner sells

this mounts to the area on the pump cover to the right of the seat. I was wondering if all you gotta do is bolt it on or is there some internal plumbing involved with this?

Single loop snatch block effectively cuts the load in half. Next time around it drops it about 20 percent with diminishing returns threafter.

Yeah thats pretty nice it's similar to what i have
it should run in the stand pipe that feeds hydro oil
from the pump witch gives you one way pressure to
pick up the plow. My nephew put a winch on his
4wheeler remote control just a power line to the
winch than ran the cable straight to the plow it
might have weighed 50 pounds.

i was wondering if it gives you one way pressure then how does the fluid make it back when you lower the plow, because the ram i have only has one line, does that valve have a port that lets fluid back into the hydraulic system?

Mike i'm not real sure it looks like a two spool
valve it may run back though the same line when the
presser is released
