SEIZED TO 35 value?

I found a TO 35 Fergie(want ad I posted), I haven't gone to see it yet. It's a gas engine, apparently it seized up, but was running last year. The tires are poor, but the tractor is supposed to be in decent shape. I don't know if it has live PTO. Is this tractor the same as the MF 35- position control on 3 pt hitch and live hydraulics? What is a seized TO35 with poor tires worth? I'm not sure what to offer.

I sold a TO30 that was seized a year ago for $600
it was all original with a full set of original
lights. I would probably give $800 to $1000 If
it looks good and has a dual clutch. No matter what anyone says about the tractor you can't verify anything if it's not running. You can only
judge it on looks.

The Deluxe TO-35 had live PTO, with two stage clutch. But not all TO-35s had live PTO. If it needs tires all way 'round that's maybe $800. And usually if the tires are that bad some of the rims are bad too. A seized engine may require complete rebuild and perhaps a new clutch as well. And the two stage clutch is very expensive. Lots of dollars. The seller needs to pay you to haul it away if you plan to make any money on it. If you just have an itch and want one, you might give a couple hundred for it. If the sheet metal is good and you are going to part it out and sell parts you probably can give a little more than that and be ok.

(quoted from post at 23:06:10 06/21/12) Stovepipe i m looking for engine parts for my TO35 if you buy in and part it out.

I'll keep you in mind. I was thinking of fixing it. I like my TE20, but it would be nice to have low range, live hyd, position control etc. That's why I'm looking at 35's. I could put a position control kit, and a live hydraulic kit, step down trans on the TE20 I suppose...

Where abouts are you located? If you buy it I would be interested in the half tracks. I have a 35 that ran, that's about it when i got it......the engines are cheap to work on for these z134's, such a handy tractor with the high/low trans, just an added plus if it has live power AND power steering. There are millions of good used 28" rear tires around for not much cash. Offer him scrap value, then meet halfway at his counter offer and it would still be an ok deal if it ran only a year ago. A little acetone and ATF or just kerosene would probably free it up.

Keep me in mind if you get it, 734845 one five one seven, and i'm in SE Michigan.

Thanks, Richard

If it doesn't have 2 stage then it's not what you want and not much more than what you already have. I'd shop around some more.

(quoted from post at 06:21:19 06/23/12) Yes it is the same as an MF35 (USA) and has the same hydraulic system..John(UK)

Thanks for all the help guys. I won't be getting the tractor, since the fellow thinks it's worth lots of money.
