I recently purchased an old tractor that was said to be a Freguson TE 20.
Where on the tractor can I find the serial number plate or anything thing else that would identify this tractor or anything that would confirm the tractor model or the year that it was built?
Thanks for any and all help, and God Bless

If it is a TE20, it will have a casting number behind the generator on the engine block, and another just behind the gearbox/differential oil dip stick. These have been mentioned before for identifying the date and year these components were built, if the serial number plate is missing.

I think he is referring to the "dog legs"?

The TE20 should have a one piece front fenders Lucas electrical system starter, distributor 2 butterfly wing latches for the hood. TO20 has the 2 piece front fenders Delco Remy electrical and a single latch for the hood. Maybe that can narrow it down for you.

Yeah i don't know what else to call them there attached to the hood that opens the hood. The TO came in two parts.

Thanks.
My tractor does have just one latch on the hood, and it does have a delco starter, so it must be the TO-20
I was mainly trying to figure out what operator's manual I need to order for this tractor. I found a manual that list both of these, so I'll go with that one.
Thanks again and God Bless
