My to30 has transfercase, 540/1000 is that normal?

I recently bought a farmall 504 and i was comparing the to30 i had now and i couldnt find any info on to30s having a 2 speed gear box. The transmission is 4 speeds plus reverse, and i have a transfercase lever on the left side of the transmission which allows me to run pto at 540 and 1000rpm as well as running hi and lo gear ranges. pto is always engaged to run 3pt hitch. i couldnt find any info on this setup on to30s though. What might i have? I will try to get ID number today.

Left side next to the trans sounds like a Sherman trans to me.

Ya know i have been using that tractor regularly for the past 4 years and my dad 10 years before that and neither of us knew it had 3 transfercase speeds until i saw that diagram. it sure is a 3 speed sherman step up, step down, with direct drive as well. i had always thought there was high and low haha. wow. It's inside of the transmission casing though, doesnt look like a separate unit. Maybe i will work on fixing this tractor up a little more. it's it uncommon for shermans to be installed on to30s? i know in 4 high it goes probably 30mph.

should be around 25 MPH top gear in a Sherman Combo
