2tractors

I posted awhile back about the 20 lbs. of oil pressure on a rebuilt to35. Since i had to re-split to fix the 2 stage, I decided to rebuild the pump with a kit. Now i have 30 lbs. cold and 25 hot. The 20 lbs. was adequate so it wasn't really worth the trouble, but the 2 stage works great, no grinding even around 800 rpm.

Very good grasshopper. Confusious say 'reading oil pressure gauge on old tractor is like blind dog trying to read newpaper, waste of time'. Confusious also say 'when clutch does not function, drink many black labels and try try try again'..... good for you grasshopper!

the 2 stage clutch works well on my to-35, but sometimes to get it in gear i do have to idle down or at times have had to turn motor off.

i know this is not right, but tractor runs good pulls good, so i have founds ways to live with it.

someday i might get a new tractor, would not know what to do if you just when out to the barn and did not have to work on tractor some to get going.

guess it would take all the mystery and fun out of it.

now the regulator is not charging, that is the next project for me.

on well, its only time and money!!!!

Hey,(grasshopper)great job. According to my manual 20-30 psi at 2200 rpm. At idle speed nothing lower than 15 psi. On mine it idles around 18 hot i've been wanting to shim the spring to see if the pressure comes up some but theres always neat year

Now where did i get the new name grasshopper, I've heard how the "original americans" named their kids, running bull, two dogs f=====g, did ya'll see a grasshopper somewhere? Yeah I'm real proud of the 2 stage, it's smooth as butter.

The old 'Kung Fu' tv series!! with what's his name on the history channel. If you never seen it, it ain't funny. What was that? 30-35 years ago? About the same age as my new tractor... oh, I didn't tell you about that. Yep. Another dead horse project...I never learn.

Kinda figured it had to do with the kung fu movie, ok, i'm the new student but don't expect me to stand on one leg, made another rooky mistake today when i cross threaded the fuel shutoff bowl under the tank with my fingers, did it on the 20 with a wrench, o well, wax on wax off. What you got Tony, bet it ain't a standard.

Oh man. That video was too heavy for me. Think I was in 10th or 11th grade when that came out. Getting bad flashbacks... worse is the abuse and possible banishment I might get when I show my new ... project. I might need a new handle too, change from 'tony in mass' to 'tony ten tractors'...... not necessarily a good thing...the hoarders tv show people been driving by real slow.... I think the MF forum would be a better place to lay this on ya.....

Is it the derive clutch to the wheels that grinds or the PTO Clutch. If it is the wheel drive then make sure that the pedal free-play is correct at 3/8" when the tractor is HOT. If it is the PTO Clutch some adjustment can be made through the panel underneath, I will send you the info for that if you want [email protected]
