Can anyone help? I am wanting to purchase a spreader which I believe to be a ferguson. By picture it is nearly identical(shape, style, not color) to some I have seen on this and other sites, owner says there are no tags, he says it does have loop hitch (not in pic) but no stand, if I go to view is their any other feature or specification I can use to verify it is the real deal?

Let's try that again. -here are the ones in the tractor shed gallary

JC - My Ferguson spreader is the 3rd one down in Jeff-oh"s post below ... hooked to my TO-35. I will try and post a few more detailed pictures that might help you sort out the identification. Make sure you look on the tongue. That"s where the tag should be (see first pic). I think I have seen or heard of them without the stand or the donut. However, if it has the donut, it"s pretty important to have the special U-shaped hitch that attaches to the 3-point arms. The controls should be all in one, round arm with two perpendicular small rods, one fixed, the other releases the arm to engage the beaters and select the feed speed. Look carefully at the right hand chain cover for any evidence of Ferguson script. Good luck. I hope you find that it is a Ferguson.
