Found out where rear seal leak is an what's causing it. Some idiot put all 5 screws thru on the back when 3 go thru toward front an 2 to back inside the oil pan. THIS time it wasn't me, it was the cobbler and slatherass that put them in to start with, i put em back the way they came out but thanks to an old archive that BRUCE in Oregon wrote about 2 thru under oil pan. I'm gonna repack the rear main and don't know what to use for packing,John suggest felt and all i got is cotton string, any suggestions?

Man that was a lifetime ago!! 2 screws, three screws, yada, yada. .
ALL that string gets jammed in there! Don't you dare cut it or leave any out! Mine is string and I wondered the same thing. What kind of hokie malarky cra* is this shi*?
You have GOT to be kidding me! Buncha S**T This is!!
I got busy stuffing and no leaks.

Thanks Richard, I ordered the package of string this morning and it looks like a lifetime supply, sure hope i don't have to pack all that in there!!

I believe you will be packing most of it in there. You want to have a small rod to keep pushing it down into the hole and every so often you should use a hammer on the rod to compact the string as much as possible, don't hit it hard enough to break anything just a couple good light hits should do it. The more packed you get it the better the chance of not having more drips.
