ORC Over Running Clutch PTO Rollpin Size

Had things going smooth, but got a call this evening that the ORC came off during use with a finish mower. Providing the usual has happened, (rollpin sheared off inside clutch), Ill have to replace that and hope the ORC is okay. Ive done it before, but I always have to shave a store bought pin to fit. Is there a typical length for the ORC pin that should be availible, or has anyone else found this problem as well? We usually pickup a multi size assortment, but never find one that fits. Im passing a few TSC stores comming home from work tomorrow and thought I'd ask.

Thanks.

I have 3 in my truck. I'll check the size at lunch. I am 99% sure it is 2" by 1/4".

I do not have to modify, though new ones are tight (little too open perhaps). I also find I have to carefully tap it in until the outer part will just pass over the pin. Then I check the other side and see how much is can still tap it in.

Thanks Jeff, Im eating lunch myself right now. I dont have a problem with diameter, but rather overall length. Can never find one that lets the ORC spin yet be long enough without modifying.

The length is 2 1/2" long by 5/16" diameter. I suppose in a bind, you could use two 1 1/4"ers. Might last as long as a full length one. I've bought the correct length at TSC. ohfred

I picked up a few 3/8 and 5/16, it definately is the 5/16, but 2-1/2 is too long for the ORC i have. Shaved it down to about 2 even and got it together. Cut about an hour and then some before the rain. Thanks for the input.
