Maybe an easy question..but newbie-esh here...!

To-35 w/tri rib tires & a Wagner FEL....I know shes front heavy & the only thing I`ve come up with is getting a pair of 6 lug rims, hopefully 16" because I`ve got a couple tires....BUT, last time I went to the salvage(junk) yard, I asked about, & the guy looked at me like I was crazy!
I know folks do it `cause I`ve seen pics, I think on here, & for sure on Ebay of car/truck tires on the front. I`m just asking a brand(GM,Ford...), what I should specifically as for at the yard??? I`ve got a pair of 215 60R 16`s that I think would help my "cookie cutter" situation.
Thank you`all for advice....in advance!!!

Gilbert

I have 16" truck tires on a TO-20 that is suppose to get a FEL. How is your FEL plummbed in?
I mounted the tires on 16" tractor rims and can"t remember if I tubed them or not. Knowing the cheap skate that I am, If possible I did not.
What size? [email protected] is the direct link and I will go look in the morning light if you answer my question.

Bruce, I Thank you for the responce, my Wagner has its own pump, run off the crankshaft, the resevoir is the frame so shes Front heavy!!! I was just asking what I need to ask the salvage guy for a pair of gm or whatever rims...those tri-ribs just "plow/dig".....good thing for the bucket to back myself out...TY again for the look!

Certain vintages of IH Scouts used 6 bolt 6" bolt circle ag center rims. Otherwise you need ag salvage, not car salvage. Or new from nnalert, sloan express, shoup, gemplers, miller tire, TSC, farm and fleet, etc. You want a rim 5.5 or 6" wide.

225/75/16 tires will clear the spindles and maintain the correct height aspect ratio while properly fitting on the rim.
In the morning light I can to remember the 35 does not need a tilt hood. My '20 has the tilt hood and I will need to modify the front grill soon. My hood might also need a mod.

I had 11L-16s on my MF-136 for a while when I was trying to move too much stuff with too big loader. Took 8" wide rims. They are now on my 4020 with 11.00-16 tires that are a lot taller. The 11L-16s are in the barn somewhere.

The 11L I used were wagon tires. Easy on hay won't break the stems when I ran over it, but lousy for steering, especially when running 9 or 10 mph with the rotary hoe on the back of the tractor. The 11.00 are 4 rib, I think I like those better than 3 rib that concentrates most of the load on the center rib.
