TEF Crankshaft Issues...

Hi Everyone

In the process of rebuilding my TE20 Diesel (TEF) and upon inspection of the crank the big ends were majorly worn with some heavy scores in the big end bearing caps themselves.

Now, I was wondering if I should get the crank reground? And if so does anyone know where in the UK I could get this done and roughly how much it would cost??

There are quite a few places you can get this done, just look in yellow pages for Engine reconditioning. They may want to know the specs for doing this, I do have them, just email me and I will send them if they are needed.Don't forget to change the Rotor Pack in the Oil Pump. Once you have located someone you will be able to ask how much they charge as it will vary from one company to another..John
