Injector Pump on TE20 Diesel

Despite numerous efforts to free shaft between excess fuel device and cut off lever it will not move easily enough for diaphram or spring to move it. Does anybody know the solution to this Please?

You mean that the rack is stuck, this controls all the fuel to the cylinders and injectors. There isn't an easy way, usually they will free-off fairly easily with some persuasion and plenty oil. If you alter this at all, the phasing for the Pump will be out and the engine may not run correctly, if at all.It must be absolutely precise on any adjustment, you cannot do it without special tools. If you do and it over-fuels it will carbon the valve ports up VERY quickly. It really needs repairing by a specialist Fuel Injection shop. When we were doing them regularly, if we had one like this all you can do is work the shaft back-wards and for-wards gently and use plenty of oil. CAV frowns on this method but there is little else you can do unless you have it repaired professionally....John
