I thought I saw a mention of kits that would fix the problem of throttle lever not holding position and the same for the lift control, but i cannot find where they were posted. Can anybody give the name of the companies and how to reach them? Thanks again

Billy, go back to Rons post and click on the bottom right area of his post that says "send email" that will send it to him without showing his email address. Just tell him what you want to know in the email. Make sure you put your email address in the spot for it then he can get back to you. Richard

Richard.

In Modern View there is no email link for Ron. Ron also appears to have messages blocked as there is no "Profile" button on his post in Modern View.

He must go back to Classic View to find the email link.

(Strange ... in Classic View this post went to #2 in the thread, out of posting order??)

Bob, don't confuse me any more than I am. I am very lucky I know how to turn the computer on. LOL
I didn't grow up with these modern conveniences. When our son comes home (twice a year) I ask him how to do something on here and he just goes ahead and does it then says "see nothing to it", without explaining anything and I have no idea what he did. Oh well I just keep plugging away. Richard

[b:4e4f431e61]Richard.[/b:4e4f431e61] In 13 days I turn 65 years of age, celebrated around the world (except the USA) as Bob's May Day!

To me, a "computer" is a plastic device used by pilots, similar to a slide rule, which I learned to use almost 50 years ago when learning to fly!

Now you watch the young'uns ask what a "slide rule" is.......

[b:4e4f431e61]Billy[/b:4e4f431e61], you can cut friction discs from thin sheet cork, sold as gasket material by most hardware or automotive parts stores.

Thanks Guys ,I appreciate the replies and tips.Im as good with a computer as I am with a wrench.....not very .

You can get the part from this site or from Sparex dealers, they use the same disc for both jobs. The Sparex part number is S60635. If you need information on how to reset these parts, then email me at:-
fergusontractors @ tiscali.co.uk
tell me what you need and I will send it. If you fit a new friction disc to the Throttle linkage you will also need to know how to reset the engine governor linkage as you will disturb this when you fit the new part......John
