Must Be Foaling Season?

Nothing at all to do with Ferguson tractors but thought you'd like to know my youngest daughter, who lives in Houston, Texas, foaled a healthy 8 1/2 pound heifer at the weekend.

I'm still coming to grips with the concept of a Yank in our very Aussie family!!

This is my sixth grand kid!

I'm also told I will be in the US in October this year. Looking forward to seeing my first TO20 / TO30 and a LH drive Jag XKE/E Type........ but after I've first seen my new grand daughter!

WELL WELL WELL, Congratulations Bob is this the first time to the U.S.? Oh yeah, Congrats. on the youngest member of your family. LOL I hope you have some people with a NICE TO 30 to inspect and put a few minutes worth of seat time on it. Let us know how you like the wheel on the correct side of the vehicle in the XKE/E. HA HA I certainly hope you have some nice weather while you are visiting here as it makes it much more enjoyable. Richard

Yes indeed - Congratulations! My second grandchild is four and a half old months now and you will be seeing yours at about the same wonderful age.

Houston in October should be great with the humidity finally getting back to double digits and the hurricane season about over. There are a lot of Fergusons in Texas (of course, there is a lot of Texas in Texas) and I'd bet there are some Texas FENA members on the forum that would like to invite you for a ride.

Thanks for all your great comments!

Kirsty was only in hospital for 36 hours and is now back at home in Houston. Got to see the new rug rat on web cam last night for the first time.

Good looking kid - obviously takes after our side of the family!

Scottish forebears, second generation Australians, my kids all born in Papua New Guinea, son in law is a Kiwi, parents British - and now we have a Yank in the family! The family is turning into the League of Nations!

I got reminded again that I will be visiting the US in October. I've been to the US a few times (in my previous airline career), but never to Texas. I've worked all over the world, but never did get comfortable with left hand drive vehicles, particularly remembering which side of the road to drive on!

Congratulations [b:c5f976a290]Grandad[/b:c5f976a290].

Mate, there's nothing wrong with a "League of Nations" family. In fact surely it's now a typical family here!

Perhaps that's why we down here still live in the "Lucky Country". :D

Enjoy the States and the new little tacker.

And be careful, they drive on the WRONG side of the road!

Not only do they drive on the WRONG side of the road, but they put the steering wheel on the WRONG side of the car!!

Yup, Australia sure is the "Lucky Country" - at least we drive on the correct side of the road!

Old Harry Fertguson was smart - he put the Fergy steering wheel in the center to keep the entire world happy!

Bob,
I believe it will be deer hunting season in Texas when you visit. Perhaps you can get some quality time in the woods, getting your meat the "yank" way. Either way, enjoy your visit to the USA. By the way, we switched to the other side of the road because we wanted to irritate the queen in every way possible. HA HA
John. German, Russian, Canadian, American. 2 of my kids add Philipino to that list!

Congrats Bob on #5, my daughter delivered #2 for Gramma and I on June 5th. Her and Babe(Taryn) got to spend 19 hrs in the Hosp, helps a bit when your husband is a Doc in the same Hosp. Good luck on your up coming trip to the USA. Hate to admit it, but they sure have good beef in that State......L8tr Alex
