O T - Things that get in the way of working on my Fergy

Since I have been on this forum I have noticed there are probably more "people of faith - REAL FAITH" that frequent this forum than are in most churches I have been a part of. I say this so that the rest of this post will make some sense.

Here are 2 things that for the last month and for the next several weeks have gotten and will get in the way of me working on my tractor as much as I need and want to.

1. Our 30 year old son is bipolar and got off his meds - to the point we had to call 911 and finally swear out a committment warrant for him to be taken to the state hospital for treatment. He has been there for 2 weeks and is responding. We are trying to keep up the house he rents, yard and all that; somehow make sure he doesn't go bankrupt with creditors and somehow keep contact with him - a 3 hour round-trip away.

2. Last week my wife was diagnosed as being in the early stages of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Treatment is at least a 2-4 week hospital stay and then if it all works she gets to come home to recover and gain her strength back.

Some things that keep us from our tractors are just nuisances - these 2 really hurt.

I ask for your thoughts and prayers as our Almighty Creator carries us through both of them. I'll try to keep you updated.

Thanks, Stan

Stan,
You have a heavy load right now and all I can do is pray for you and your family. We have seen others on this forum that rode out tough times when it just didn't seem fair and things got better - I trust the same will happen for you.

Stan, I am sorry your life is in such a dissarray. My thoughts are with you thru your hardships. Remember the family comes first, The tractor will wait for you to get thru your trials. Jim.

Stan, My wife and I will pray for you and your family. My tractor was my releace while my wife went through cancer treatments, while she was resting I worked on the Ferguson with a intercom on. Hang in there and may Our Lord Bless you and yours. John

Stan, we see so much of the dark side of human nature that it’s special when total strangers reach out to someone who is having troubles with encouragement and support like is happening here. I’ll add my prayers and assure you that, if good thoughts can help, they are out there for you. One of my daughters has referred to my little TO20 as the “therapy tractor”. There are times when you just need a little time by yourself to get away and recharge. Fergys are an excellent place to do that if only for a little while. Best Regards, Jack

What else can be said, other than to second evryone else? Depression is a nasty illness that is far more harmful than many people realize. We're here for you anytime!

I"m much better at lurking than finding the right words for your situation, Stan. I"m just very sure that God will give you the strength to make it through all this if you just ask for it. My prayers are with you. And please take a quick moment and share any good news when it starts going your way again. Thanks! P.S. My TO-20 is sitting on 4 flat tires with a stuck motor, but it"s a keeper, and I will get it squared away!

This is an awesome group of people - you not only share great detailed information about fixing Fergys, but you really care about each other. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement, thoughts and prayers. THEY ARE BEING FELT DAILY!! It is also awesome to know that people around the world are lifting us up. I printed out your replies for my wife to read and told her this is why I go to this forum for tractor info. She was touched.

My son is beginning to respond to medications - Gene he is in WFSH I may try to look you up when I am there visiting - email me at [email protected].

My wilfe, Jackie, starts the 1st of 4 month long hospitalizations on June 9.

Again, Thanks is not enough for your sharing, prayers and concern.

Stan

I wanted to let you know how things are going.

My son was released 3 weeks ago and is gradually getting back to a normal schedule.

My wife actually went in to start her chemo on June 17. She had 7 straight days of chemo. This last Tuesday they did a bone marrow test and reported that the chemo had done its job and she is in remission. So this 1st round of treatment is over. She will remained in the hospital until her blood counts are normal enough for her to be released - around the 15th. She will be able to resume a normal schedule for the next 2-3 months before the next set of treatment.

As some of you mentioned, working on and using my fergy has been and will be excellent therapy.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. We serve and worship an awesome Creator and God.
