Last spring, I bought a block heater for my MF35/Perkins diesel, and should have installed it then...but was too busy. :)Now, it's cold out there and I have more time, so am thinking of installing it. I know that it just goes in one of the freeze plug holes, but, being a worrier, I want to be sure I do it right. After all, the local dealer initially sold me the wrong one - just because that's what his book showed! :) Which freeze plug hole is best - please be very specific as to where it is...in fact, post a pic if possible. How do I pull the plug...just drive a punch into it and pry it out? Where does the heating element end up - in air, coolant, oil? I always assumed coolant, but now that I think of it, don't know for sure. If coolant or oil, does it have to be drained first? I think that covers it all...anything I'm not thinking of? Thanks all!
