Won?t stay running

I got a ?52 TO30 and it?s got a new carb, plugs, distributor cap, rotor button and ignition coil. All installed this past spring. I?ve used the tractor since then just fine. I was bush hogging with it today and ran out of gas, put more in and kept bush hogging. But now in the middle of bush hogging, it cut out and won?t stay running. Any idea on where to look first?

What are the symptoms when it won't stay running?

Does your problem seem fuel related? Spark related?

Soon after I got my TO30 I ran it out of gas plowing. It wouldn't run right for a while after that. It seems as if by emptying the tank I had sucked some of the crud on the bottom of the tank into the sediment bowl assembly and beyond. I had to take it all apart and get it cleaned out before it would run right.

I must admit I'm not totally sure of the logic to that but that was my experience. Maybe it was just coincidence.

Your issue may be totally different depending on what your symptoms are.
