Anybody used a Speedi Sleeve to repair the oil seal area on a TO35 rear PTO shaft?

Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see

I used one successfully on a TO30 about a year and a half ago because the shaft had grooves worn in it. It s been perfect, does not drop a bit. Used a new seal of course..

Or asking a different way, has anyone had a leaky PTO shaft that wasn't fixed by only replacing the shaft oil seal and outer retainer Oring? If so, how'd you do it? Thanks!! Mike

I haven't had to use the sleeve, but it is an option when the seal surface is worn.

I did have to redo the seal once. Put in a new seal, it leaked. Took it out and looked at the seal, it was made wrong! Looked like when it was assembled the rubber part was not centered in the steel part. Never seen that before or sense. But might look at your's, no telling how many were made that way before it was caught.

If your shaft has a groove worn where the seal runs, a common trick is to not drive the seal as far in so it runs on a fresh surface. Or sleeve it.
