Sorry for the double post but this is driving me nutz!! Changing the oil first time on ferguson to-20 and the filter that came out was wix 51107. The filter that I ordered was baldwin p40 and came supplied with a gasket. The gasket is larger in diameter than the filter? Is the gasket on the p40 wrong or not needed? What am i missing? Is there a metal filter that works like the 51107. That one is no longer made as yall probably know. thank you so much for your answers. Just dont want to mess up the ol girl!! thanks Dave

Here is a list of What P40 Baldwin crosses to. Gasket supplied is probably for a more common cannister than Fergy with filter in pan. P40 is not what Baldwin used to sell for Fergys 30 years ago.

Thanks I finally figured that out late last nite!! Went back in archives and found the answers this morning. Just got the oil changed,no leaks,Fergie seems to like it,and all is well. Thanks a lot Dave

No oil leaks, that is rare for me as my pan is not perfect on the bottom even after removing to straighten it out. Baldwin T44-M is what MF used to put in their box with part # 830910M91. I try to keep one new gasket on hand even tho the old one can be used over and over. I have had my Ferguson for going on 50 years and it is most amazing tractor.

Thanks alot. I was fortunate and ended up good. Left a 2x12 under the pan and havent seen anything on it so everything is good with the Fergie. Im learning her. I have never heard anything bad about them and Im looking forward to using it. Thanks a ton for the response Thanks Dave
