Splitting a TO30

I'm ready to replace the seal between the transmission and the PTO housing on my 1953 to30. I purchased a couple repair kits from this site as well as a few other miscellaneous parts that I will receive on Tuesday. As you can see from the picture I have pretty much everything torn apart with only two bolts holding the PTO housing to the transmission. Do I need to do any disconnecting of the drive shaft or the rods from the transmission before I split this? Or can I just support everything properly, take out the last two bolts and roll the back end away?

Thanks for any input.

If you are splitting the rear end of the tractor from the transmission you should pull the pto shaft out. I did this last fall to swap out rear housings on a TO30 myself. Have a friend help to keep things balanced
