Folks, a new one for me...
Rebuilt my carb. When I attach the governor rod to the carb throttle, it pulls the carb almost wide open. When I start it, it obviously revs way too high.
If I disconnect the governor, and with the throttle closed on the throttle stop, the tractor idles real nice. I notice that when I rev it manually (my hand on the throttle, not the dash control) the governor arm moves backward, which would actually try to close the throttle. This normal? It almost seems that my throttle on the carb is backward! The rebuild kit included a new throttle. I'm wondering if it was a wrong part.
Thoughts?
